 Job profile

The Cranes Sales Adminsitrator is based in the Wilmington, NC office and reports to the General Manager for Cranes NA; the role will support the Tower Cranes as well as the Rough Terrain / Franna products focusing on sales transactions and collaborating  with the Sales Team.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Central  point of contact for customer and distributors as of order entry
  • Understand and execute the complete sales order process from origination of the order to completion
  • Liase  with Sales, Engineering and Operations on all matters involving a placed order or customer request
  • Process Change Order Requests relative to customer order specifications
  • Document and file critical order information in a timely and orderly manner
  • Follow up with customers on miscellaneous delivery, availability, etc. requests
  • Execute Export & Compliance checks in accordance with site policy
  • Ensure that all orders entered, and deals offered are compliant with company policy and have all necessary approvals
  • Purchase, maintain and track machine inventory
  • Prepare quotations for customers, in support of Sales team.
  • Execute aftermarket service invoices
  • Report on expected revenue and sales backlog
  • Enter purchase orders for miscellaneous sales expenses
  •  Attend Sales, Production, Inventory, Forecast (SPIF) teleconferences as required
  • Travel as needed (approximately 10%, mostly in North America)

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree (Engineering, Business or Marketing) is preferred or related work experience
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in heavy machinery manufacturing, heavy machinery dealer
  • Working job knowledge of the cranes industry  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bilingual; Spanish speaking, Italian as well
  • Travel 10%, mostly in North America
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) preferred
  • Computer competencies on ERP systems (Oracle) preferred
  • Must possess excellent Customer Service attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, lead and finish projects that ideally involve working with multiple departments such as: Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Finance
  • Must be able to take ownership of assigned products and comprehend the financial impact of proposed actions
  • Ability to forecast  and analyze future product trends
  • Capable of understanding how hydraulic cranes work and the ability to communicate with Engineering on technical matters
  • Ability to tactfully work with a wide variety of people from around the global and for whom English might be a second language and communicate effectively in verbal, written and presentation formats; comfortable talking with dealers, customers, vendors and company field representatives; able to develop Power Point presentations and to internally sell or champion ideas and train others
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Maintain an atmosphere of trust, inside and outside the company
