Senior Analyst, Corporate Tax - International Tax

Westport, CT, US

This team is responsible for influencing business planning and overall commercial structures to minimize the burden of taxation on profits and cash flows. They implement statutory tax requirements. They prepare, analyze and maintain tax reports and other related material. They may be involved in tax planning.


Position Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Tax - International Tax will be involved with all U.S. international tax matters including tax planning, business development, tax provision and tax compliance. The position requires someone with U.S. international corporate income tax experience in public accounting and/ or industry. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with tax planning projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity changes, and cash mobilization;
  • Prepare facts and documentation or review prepared materials, and use applicable tax laws to properly determine tax compliance amounts and planning outcomes;
  • Research US international, federal tax issues, and reporting issues, and prepare memos detailing and supporting Terex positions;
  • Coordinate quarterly transaction reporting for financial statement audits;
  • Respond to I.R.S. Information Document Requests regarding U.S. international tax compliance matters; and
  • Other tasks and projects as requested by managers and directors.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ of US Corporate Income tax experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • International Tax experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master of Science in Taxation (M.S.T.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
  • Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) certification
  • Experience with financial accounting software (Hyperion/ HFM)
  • Significant high-level and sophisticated Excel experience
  • High-quality research and writing skills
  • Detail-oriented approach that meets deadlines
  • Ability to interface with accounting, legal, and treasury teams
  • Solid work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
