Senior Accounting Analyst

About the Position:

Title:              Senior Analyst

Reports to:   Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations

Location:      Norwalk, CT


Position Overview:

The Senior Analyst participates in the financial consolidation and analysis function typical of a large international manufacturing company.  The work activity involves partnering with GBS, our shared service accounting team, and local finance management to support their efforts to comply with US GAAP and maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the current and proposed future state of the accounting codification and effectively communicate this to the supported businesses.  Duties also include financial analysis requiring an in-depth understanding of the operations of the business and preparation of comments on the monthly results for the supported entities and business segments.  Additional duties involve preparation of certain consolidated analysis and participation in process improvement projects.



  • Perform financial analysis driven by a thorough understanding of the operations of the business (including flux and quality control) and provide commentary for assigned business segments
  • Prepare select consolidated account analyses
  • Provide entities with guidance on US GAAP and on internal policies
  • Review monthly segment intercompany profit eliminations
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of the operations of the businesses supported and how they impact the externally reported results
  • Support of external auditors
  • Process improvements and special projects


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of experience in public accounting or within a multi-national company in a corporate accounting capacity
  • Proficient US GAAP knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel Skills
  • Ability to work in Norwalk, CT office (hybrid schedule possible)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience with reporting systems (OneStream) a plus
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal, and communication skills
