IT Manager, Business Engagement - Products

This is a great opportunity to lead from the front and play a significant role in defining the IT strategy which supports Terex’s commercial products. Working in a matrix environment you will focus on business enablement through technology, working closely with stakeholders from Terex’s two segments (AWP and MP) as well as the Parts & Services organization.  You will be given the opportunity to build a strong network across functions and further develop your personal and professional skills. You will need to gain a detailed understanding of Terex’s current business processes and supporting IT environment, and understand the drivers for change. You will use this knowledge to evaluate and implement IT solutions which will add real value to our businesses.  

 

The successful candidate will be expected to drive focus, simplification, and execution. It’s important that they also promote and encourage a "One Team, One Terex” mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the experience of Terex’s customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and acts as a liaison between information services teams and the business partner
  • Act as an advisor to business partners to shape their strategy with regard to technology and ensure they are aware of IT service offerings
  • Work with business analysts to help business units define new capabilities
  • Define, prioritize, and manage program and project initiatives
  • Participate in development of roadmap and budget for the business initiatives
  • Provide details on cost, value, and opportunity to optimize IT spend (initiatives and support services)
  • Communicates business needs with appropriate IT function to gain alignment between business needs and technical capabilities
  • Lead in the development of business cases requiring IT-based solutions
  • Establish vendor relationships and maintains a forward-looking view of vendor direction
  • Interface with vendors to understand whether vendor products will meet business requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry and technology trends, and make recommendations for implementation of new/upgraded systems and technologies
  • Ensure processes and technologies for our products align across Terex’s two segments as well as Parts & Services.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in complex IT environments

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business
  • A proven track record of defining and delivering complex IT strategy
  • Successfully worked in a matrix environment
  • Experience of leading IT planning activities
  • Solid background in business enablement through technology
  • Experienced in formulation of IT strategy
  • Ability to communicate and influence others to drive results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Independent drive
  • Positive and agile mindset with focus on solving complex challenges
  • Dedication to driving change efforts and improvements involving stakeholders at all levels
