Financial Analyst, IT Operations

Position Overview:

Responsible for developing, implementing and/or executing financial governance and other processes required for the smooth and effective operation of the IT organization. The Analyst, IT Operations will provide advice and counsel to other Analyst, IT Operations and senior IT leadership team members on administrative, financial, and operations. Develops and deploys organizational policies and procedures, reports and dashboards. 



  • Overall administrator of the Apptio application coordinating with other Analyst, IT Operations
  • Responsible for supporting the Bill of IT project
  • Responsible for the implementation and/or execution of financial, administrative, and people management processes, required for the smooth and effective operation of an organization
  • Build, update and maintain planning, forecasting and showback/chargeback modeling tools and analyses, independently and collaboratively, in order to provide insights into financial trends and expected IT related expenditures
  • Support budgeting process for operational and project driven demands, including resource labor planning and capital commitments
  • Provide financial oversight of contractor and project related accruals, labor, capitalization and month end closing processes
  • Provide financial guidance on and oversight of capitalization policies and procedures, working closely with accounting to ensure policy compliance
  • Work collaboratively within the team to align financial expenditures with brand level cost allocations and assist with financial allocation inquiries
  • Develop and deliver effective and timely business analysis and reporting both ad hoc and at the request of the management team to further support business strategies and operational objectives
  • Prepare communications within the organization
  • Participate in organizational change initiatives for the organization
  • Implement governance activities for the organization


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT and participation in IT financial and administrative processes


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment
  • Understanding the fundamentals of Organizational Management, Operations and Planning, Organizational Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Operations Excellence
  • Exposure to change management and the use of IT metrics
  • Budgeting and forecast experience
  • Knowledge of IT Financial Management (ITFM)
  • Developing and implementing IT Dashboards
  • Familiarity with Apptio TBM Unified Model (ATUM) a plus
  • Project management experience (PMI, Prince, Scrum Master certification a plus)
