Position Summary

The position requires the preparation and review of work across various tax technical areas including ASC 740 non-US reporting, international tax planning and compliance, and US domestic compliance.  The primary focus of the position will be non-US reporting for income tax.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ASC 740 reporting for international locations, including quarterly and year-end closings, as well as all requisite analyses and disclosures;
  • Analyze and review tax provision workbooks and ad-hoc reports prepared by business unit controllers;
  • Apply US GAAP and governing income tax laws to determine income tax provision and tax return amounts;
  • Assist with all aspects of U.S. international tax as applicable to Terex Corporation and its worldwide subsidiaries;
  • Assist with tax planning projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity changes, and cash mobilization;
  • Assist with the preparation of Form 1120 and state tax returns;
  • Monitor current and future structures for compliance with U.S. tax laws;
  • Monitor tax legislative changes for those countries relevant for Terex;
  • Co-ordinate with other Tax team members to ensure the proper income tax accounting for transactions, strategies and other aspects of the taxation of multi-national operations;
  • Manage the completed transactions inventory, including the U.S. federal compliance requirements for completed worldwide transactions;
  • Assist with the resolution of tax audit issues;
  • Other tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 1 year of tax analysis experience


Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Degree in accounting
  • MST or CPA
  • Familiarity with ASC 740
  • Familiarity with relevant U.S. tax law
  • A detail-oriented approach that meets deadlines
  • Excel experience
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to interface with accounting, legal, treasury, and business teams
  • A solid work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong research skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Foreign language skills



Travel: Must be willing and able to travel internationally as business needs require, up to 10% of the time
