Position Overview:

The Sr. Digital Experience Architect will be a lead role to define and deliver a cohesive, compelling and streamlined digital experience for the Terex portfolio of Web properties, portals, mobile applications, marketing technologies and internal business process tools services to support our customers throughout the equipment lifecycle. They will work closely with global project teams consisting of both internal and external partners and actively participate in all phases of new and existing projects. This includes planning, requirements definition, application and solution design, configuration, development of custom solutions, application integration, and data migration.


Terex leverages multiple functions of Sitefinity WCMS, SharePoint and Oracle Cloud CX applications. This architect position will play a critical role in bringing broad and deep knowledge of best practices in UX, Analytics, SEO, SEM, MarTech, and DevOps to optimize solutions within and across these platforms and their integrations with other systems for CRM, Commerce, Telematics, Warranty and Support.


This architect will be working with a dispersed group of developers, business stakeholders, and IT peers located in different countries and time zones. A flexible approach to working and an understanding of cultural diversities is required where English is the working language. 




  • Engage with business stakeholders, partner IT departments and external vendors to identify, recommend, design and deliver technology solutions.
  • Lead key design decisions including detailed description of each option, pros and cons of each solution and recommendations.
  • Develop phased implementation roadmap of the solution architecture supporting business priorities and budget as required.
  • Evangelize designing with a systematic approach, educating fellow architects, designers, and engineers about best practices for working with shared components/patterns
  • Define and manage a Digital Design System using Atomic principles
  • Lead Web Analytics practice. Define KPIs, create and implement measurement plans and reporting
  • Define technical and content SEO standards and ensure applications adhere to them
  • Monitor and ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, adaptability, sustainability and security
  • Lead regular meetings to discuss and score enhancement requests
  • Grow and nurture a community of stakeholders and content contributors
  • Serve as a mentor and provide aid and leadership to the development and support teams.
  • Engage in the entire agile software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and evolve processes for operating effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Incorporate industry best practices into requirements and user stories.
  • Proactively recommend solutions to known business challenges and opportunities.
  • Research, track and understand new web technologies and tools and how to apply them
  • Develop proof of concepts or prototypes and present to stakeholders.
  • Create customer journey maps and technical architecture diagrams.
  • Validate architecture and design proposals from external partners.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years delivering high-volume, highly scalable and integrated digital experiences with enterprise Web Content Management Systems, Collaboration and Marketing Technology platforms such as Sitefinity WCMS, SharePoint, Pardot and Eloqua
  • 4+ years working with agile development practices, Scrum/Kanban, and the Atlassian toolset of JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket. Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus.
  • 4+ years of advanced web analytics implementation. Google stack a plus (Analytics - UA & GA4, Tag Manager, Data Studio with an understanding of the dataLayer).
  • 4+ years working in a complex, global B2B OEM environment
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Sitefinity WCMS architecture, implementation, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with localization and translation of interfaces and content for global systems
  • Conversant in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, API usage, AWS cloud architecture, responsive web design and Mobile app development.
  • Understanding and experience with Salesforce and Oracle CRM systems a plus.
