Installer Lead - 2nd Shift

Watertown, SD, US


Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry, municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.

The qualified candidate must be willing, and have the ability to perform all of the Lean Manufacturing team members duties in that team leader’s area of responsibility.



  • Promote and maintain a safe and organized workplace
  •  Relieve team members when they need to leave the work station
  • Train and cross train team members
  • Initiate daily production Improvements
  • Maintain/Audit/Improve standard work
  • Understanding of TAKT time and Cycle time
  • Strong Understanding of Single Piece Flow
  • Ability to identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processes


Skills:  Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.  Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team, work under the pressure of deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy. 


Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus


Physical requirements of the job:

Moderately Strenuous: Involves physical activity, which generally requires a moderate amount of exertion on a fairly regular basis.  On feet most of time; involves bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, working on irregular surfaces, occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds, frequent lifting 10-25 pounds.
