Business Intelligence Architect

About the Position:

Title:                   Architect, Enterprise Data Management

Reports to:        Director, Enterprise Data Management, Corporate IT

Location:           Remote

 

Position Overview:

This position will be part of the Terex Corporate Enterprise Data Management team. Primary responsibilities include the architecture, design, and implementation of Business Intelligence Solutions, including Data Modeling and Data Visualization.

 

This position will work closely with Business and IT Teams to gather requirements, enhance existing BI solutions, and build new solutions as needed to meet the needs and goals of Terex Corporation.

This position will also be responsible for architecture and design documentation, adherence to and/or enrichment of existing Terex Internal Standards for software development, version control, and code promotion.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the business to define reporting/dashboard requirements.
  • Work with local ERP teams around the globe to extract data from the local systems and load into central data warehouse.
  • Provide timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, support, enhance business intelligence solutions in order to provide strategic information to global business teams.
  • Grow and enrich business intelligence and analytics solutions leveraging Global IT Platforms such as AWS QuickSight and the Qlik Suite.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops, review business/functional requirement documents, author technical design documents, testing plans and scripts.
  • Assist with implementing standard operating procedures, facilitate review sessions with functional owners and end-user representatives, and leverage technical knowledge and expertise to drive improvements
  • Serve as Technical Lead for enterprise BI Platform tools.
  • Manage third party resources (onshore and offshore) as needed project delivery and support

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools 
  • Strong analytical experience with database in writing complex queries, query optimization, debugging, user defined functions, views, indexes etc.
  • Fluent in English language

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView and AWS QuickSight
  • SQL experience
  • Finance business acumen 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Experience in project coordination and communication
  • Exceptional communication skills with End Users
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently as needed
  • Strong results orientation
  • Skilled in working within a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities
