Service Sales Manager

The primary purpose of this role is to achieve revenue growth for the UK Service business and meet sales targets, through building strong customer relationships, proactively identifying opportunities and working with customers to sell service packages for access equipment that brings value and meets their needs.The role will be primarily focused on sales of services, but also sales of equipment with service contracts to a diverse customer base across the UK. Being a key stakeholder within the UK Service team, you will identify, assess and implement changes in order to meet our strategic goals.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Sales Management:

  • Driving Revenue & Operating Profit growth for the UK Service business and meeting Revenue targets by securing and expanding on market share.
  • Monitoring and analysis of market and competitive situation, proactively identifying opportunities
  • Designing and executing on a clear sales program to sell Services (Field and Workshop) and Equipment to the UK market
  • Providing input and support on marketing activities and trade events to best promote our business and service offering. 
  • Working alongside and partnering with the existing UK Sales and Service teams
  • Supporting and building business relationships with UK customers
  • Acting as a Commercial decision maker, with ability to appropriately price on contracts and service repairs, within the parameters of the pricing guidance from leadership.
  • Effectively handle any customer issues for customers in your area of responsibility appropriately managing the customer communications and liaising with the relevant internal teams to find a suitable resolution, with a focus on Service Excellence

Person Specification                                                   


Skills/education / qualifications/ experience:

  • High expertise in the capital equipment sector – e.g. Aerial Platforms, Material Handling or Infrastructure services
  • Proven track record in the sales of services and maintenance contracts
  • Good knowledge of the end user market – including Retail, Facilities Management, Industry and Airports
  • A Self-starter who can work well alone, with an independent approach
  • Strong and proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills (verbal and written)
  • High degree of autonomy and sociability, works well with others
  • Diverse problem solving skills
  • Highly competent IT skills for all mainstream Microsoft Office programs
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and periodically overseas
