Supply Chain Specialist

About the Position:

Title:               Supply Chain Specialist         

Reports to:     Director, Strategic Sourcing Program

Location:        Redmond (other US locations considered)

           

Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Specialist will be the point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely resolutions to invoice/payment issues to ensure good supplier relations and continuity of supply. Offers exposure to supply chain organization, local purchasing teams, and shared services finance group (GBS).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Purchase Orders and Invoices in the ERP system
  • Providing backup to Supply Chain coordinators
  • Act as point person for supplier invoice issue resolution
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies in procure to pay system to ensure supplier accounts stay current
  • Comply with purchasing policies/procedures, as well as legal/ethical obligations
  • Perform daily transactional activities as part of a large team
  • Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal controls in line with company standards
  • Work towards company key metrics
  • Assist team members in other various locations
  • Focus on continuous improvements and finding efficiencies in current processes
  • Deal with emails/phone calls to target resolving all queries
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external parties

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or pursuing Bachelor's Degree) in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Operational Engineering, Business, or related; or equivalent work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple business sites and functions
  • Organized and capable of dealing with high volume of interactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Oracle or a similar purchasing software.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial & quantitative analysis experience a plus.
  • Previous experience dealing with finance transactions, suppliers and internal stakeholders
