Inventory Control Coordinator

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for handling TMS transactions for all non-compliant material (both purchased and fabricated)
  • Partners with both Materials team (Buyers, Kanban Coordinators) and Quality Assurance team to support QRB process
  • Coordinates data gathering and processing of information to maintain and support Kanban production management systems
  • Reviews production documentation, verifying accuracy of information
  • Partners with Materials team to address inventory level discrepancies
  • May be involved in developing and implementing solutions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Assists team members in assuring processes are understood and followed with discrepant material
  • Provides support to Quality organization for QRB/MRB process
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
  • Maintains accuracy of inventory by conducting miscellaneous inventory transactions in the system
  • Manages non-standard inventory transactions for outside processes, quality processes, and others as needed
  • Corrects and maintains accurate counts in support of the cycle count process
  • Conducts cycle counts per corporate policy as needed
  • Supports PFEP audits to the system as needed

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of experience as a production assembly worker, material distribution specialist, and/or inventory control specialist

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Working knowledge of the complete production process, cycles, and layout used for the area of assignment
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, locations, and logistics for material distribution to work stations
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of production planning and control
  • Ability to complete logistic and problem solving efforts on a timely and urgent basis
  • Ability to read and understand production plans and specifications
  • Must be able to use common business computer software and perform data entry and retrieval onto manufacturing/inventory control databases
  • Works in a manufacturing environment, standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and manufacturing/inventory control databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt easily to change
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
