Global Forecasting & Economic Planning Manager

The Global Forecasting & Economic Planning Manager is responsible for developing, executing and improving Demand, Economic, and Forecasting Management Systems that will drive improved revenue and unit forecast accuracy to enable the company to meet customer service level expectations.  The position will be responsible for revenue and market forecasting of Genie (Terex AWP) new machines products global. This includes participating in the global SIOP process and monthly operations reviews.

 

Responsibilities and Scope:

 

  • Lead the overall Global Revenue & Market Forecasting process.  This will include preparing content, recommendations, and leading monthly forecasting decision meetings.
  • Maintain, develop and improve short-term through long-term forecasting models and strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and modernization around Genie’s forecasting management system.
  • Work with Commercial Excellence team to improve salesforce.com pipeline accuracy and overall data health.
  • Determine and communicate forecast confidence, including risks and opportunities, to relevant functional groups.
  • Identify key Econometric indicators for business and develop monthly reporting inform leadership of market outlook.
  • Measure, analyze and report key process metrics, and measure results against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to organization.
  • Conducts extensive analysis of historical orders, sales pipeline data and market information to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Work with commercial analytics and telematics team to develop dashboard and reporting tools.
  • Establish, determine, utilize, & enhance best forecasting methods (statistical models, processes and software tools).
  • Regularly interface with the SIOP group to collaborate on the development of supply and demand recommendations.
  • Mentor Global Demand Planning Analysts.
  • Develop and implement system to complete a SKU Level Demand Forecast.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM or Business related program
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in forecasting, operations management, or demand planning

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field
  • Strong mathematical and Excel skills
  • Capability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate globally to all levels of the organization
  • Strong technical or statistical aptitude
  • Past experience with managing a team
  • Oracle Demand Planning experience
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting and statistical analysis
