Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst-Commercial is responsible for consolidation of AWP results, & working with the wider commercial Finance team to produce monthly commercial analytics to help drive Commercial performance and accountability. This position will partner with the North America Sales by providing finance and accounting perspective on business decisions.


The Financial Analyst-Commercial reports to the NA Commercial Machines Manager.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


Drive commercial accountability in financial performance and provide timely/accurate analysis of financial results to management, including interpretive comments and recommendations.

  • Develop and prepare daily/weekly/monthly financial performance and management reports to enhance management’s understanding of the business, and drive continuous innovations to ensure relevancy and usefulness for decision making.
  • Analyse pricing & work with the pricing team to drive dynamic pricing
  • Assist in margin expansion and cash generation efforts by identifying, evaluating and monitoring price opportunities, including price actions, financing programs and sales incentives.
  • Forecast and budget commercial elements of the P&L, as well as for business partner cost centers.
  • Upload forecast and budget inputs to Onestream
    Provide commercial technical expertise and support development of world-class financial planning & analysis tools that optimize financial performance and decision making.
  • Perform financial modeling to support segment initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist with change management activities, business process improvement and system efficiencies in order to improve service quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Accounting, Finance, Economics 
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive responsible finance/accounting experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA desirable but not required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel user
  • Experience with pivot tables, complex formulas/modeling & reporting graphics
  • Experience in large multi-national manufacturing corporation.
  • Knowledgeable about ERP data flows and intercompany accounting.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP or other major ERP system.
  • Experience with Hyperion, Prophix or other business information tool.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to work with and influence others (financial, technical, operational, management).
  • Quick learner and strong sense of natural curiosity.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills; able to work independently as well as in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
  • Good project and time management skills and attention to detail.
