Position Overview:

 

The Director, Global Pricing & Commercial Excellence has leadership responsibility of global pricing and commercial excellence strategy. This includes leading a team of pricing analysts and commercial excellence managers. Daily activities include working closely with the Genie Aerial Work Platform (AWP) new machine global sales organization to manage all aspects of pricing tactics, management system design, and sales execution. Top priorities are focused around price-value, win rate, sales coverage, and market share optimization. The role reports into the Sr Director, Sales Operations, and will be heavily involved in commercial strategy development and monthly operating review processes for the global organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Financial:

  • Achieve Global price realization goals
  • Achieve new machine revenue goals through improving pricing value, win rate performance, and sales converage
  • Manage and achieve team SG&A goals

 

Talent and Culture:

  • Develop Individual Development Plan (IDP) for all direct reports
  • Align global team structure to drive and support price & commercial excellence
  • Train and Coach direct reports on design of enhanced Personal Management Systems
  • Improve team productivity 10% through process improvement and driving a culture ROI based prioritization

 

Strategy Deployment and Commercial Excellence:

  • Develop and deploy enhanced Global daily price & sales management system integrated with Salesforce.com
  • Work cross functionally with marketing and product management to co-develop and deploy Global Price-Value tool
  • Participate and support enhanced Congifguration, Pricing, and Quoations (CPQ) tool development
  • Support global national contract negotiation process improvement
  • Improve productivity and sales coverage through increasing in quotations YoY and increasing customer visits YoY
  • Enhance commercial Tier meeting process effectiveness
  • Execute enhanced Global limits of authority processes (DOA)
     

Safety Leadership:

  • Acheive 0 lost time and recordable incident rate for team
  • Ensure all (new)  Team Members trained on safety guidelines while operating a vehicle and visiting and/or operating on a 3rd party site (trade shows, customer visits etc.)

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Achieve Global price realization goals and develop enhanced pricing management system
  • Work cross functionally with marketing and product management to co-develop and deploy Global Price-Value tool
  • Execute enhanced Global limits of authority processes (DOA)
  • Improve productivity and sales coverage through

  • Competitive data point coverage
  • Price-Value tool portfolio coverage
  • % DOA requests per month through Salesforce.com
  • Increasing in quotations YoY
  • Increasing customer visits YoY
  • Improved win rate and forecasting accuracy

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or sales

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management & prioritization skills
  • Structured approach, data-driven and analytical
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Ability to interact successfully in different cultures
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and  presentation skills

 

Language: 
 Excellent written and spoken English

Travel:
 Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 25%)
