Position Overview:

 

The Director, AWP Parts NA is leading the Parts business - including related business teams - for the North America region. The primary focus of this role is to build an industry-leading commercial program and customer experience, and to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction. The primary focus of this role is to lead the definition and implementation of a clear Parts strategy - delivering industry-leading support to customers, and generating Parts revenue and profit growth, supporting the overall Parts & Services strategy, as well as contributing to the AWP segment profitability targets.

 

This position requires close collaboration with various teams within the Aerial Work Platforms segment, as well as our Materials Processing segment, in order to identify and leverage synergies, maximizing the shared business opportunities to the benefit of both the customer and Terex.  The functional areas of responsibility include Health & Safety for Parts, Parts Sales, Senior Executive Key Account Management, General Account Management, Commercial Programs, Customer Experience & Satisfaction, Customer Relationships, Program Agreement Placement, Data Analytics, Regional Parts Marketing, Competitor Benchmarking, and deployment of Digital Tools.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Revenue and Growth

  • Define and implement a top line growth strategy for Regional Accounts for the North America Parts business, as measured by year-over-year growth
  • Deliver net sales and operating profit in line with the Annual Operating Plan, as well as the 5-year Financial Plan
  • Lead the regional sales team and develop regional commercial strategies to profitably grow the Parts business
  • Actively manage parts sales across the North America region, representing $140m+ USD in parts sales and $40m+ USD in operating profit
  • Manage account relationships at the c-suite level to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction

 

Superior Customer Service Responsibility

  • Guide functional teams and the day-to-day business to deliver service excellence and a superior, industry-leading customer experience based on a detailed and comprehensive KPI system, measuring performance from the perspective of the customer

 

Strategy & Business Development

  • Lead the definition and implementation of a clear Parts strategy - delivering industry-leading support to customers and generating Parts revenue and profit growth, supporting the overall Parts & Services strategy, as well as contributing to the AWP segment profitability targets

Performance Management

  • Manage the performance management process of the different functional and regional teams
  • Directly manage the performance of Regional Accounts

 

Collaboration within the Organization

  • Closely collaborate with the other business functions (such as Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Operations, etc.) in the AWP organization and business and specifically with the AWP NA Machine Sales Team
  • AWP Parts & Services: closely collaborate with the AWP Technical Service/ Customer & Product Support and Parts teams to identify and leverage synergies
  • Global Parts & Services organization: Closely collaborate with Global Parts & Services Organization/ Leads to implement common processes, systems/tools and KPIs

                       

Qualifications & Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related field; MBA degree preferred
  • Ideally 10+ years industry experience in the Parts and or Service business – preferably with an industry-leading organization
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales management responsibilities
  • A successful track-record in the establishment of a new organization/ department/ team structure and change management
  • A successful track record of growing accounts with commercial structures and strong relationships
  • Ability to interact successfully across different cultures and on different business maturity levels

 

Travel:

  • Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 60%)
