Procurement Intern

Real World Responsibilities:

During your time with us you will:

  • Provide procurement back-up support for commodity managers on vacation
  • Interact with suppliers to improve quality, cost, and delivery
  • Support operations within the materials team, focusing on material and information flow from receiving through delivery to the assembly line
  • Support an improvement project in the materials department
  • Support projects and work related to receiving functions, material purchasing functions, maintaining Kanban system integrity, developing Kanban audit processes, assisting in cycle counting and forecasting methods

 

As part of our team we will:

  • Continuously improve our materials distribution system by innovating world class solutions and developing world class suppliers to support our continuously changing business atmosphere

 

Must haves:

  • Pursuing 4 year degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 3 months in-person in Redmond, WA in 2022

 

Nice to haves:

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Methods and Kanban Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent learning and training skills
  • Flexible work schedule and OT when necessary
  • PC skills, including MS Word and Excel
