Associate Lean Workshop Leader

Responsibilities

 

  • Assists with event preparation and participates in improvement events as requested to support plant objectives.  Activities shall include, but not limited to:
    • Training of team members in areas such as continuous flow, 5 s, standard work, just in time production techniques
    • Document work process information such as people and material flow, and cycle-times.
    • Lead Lean Workshops, with guidance and support of Lean Workshop Leader
    • Implementation of process and equipment improvements as directed

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours
  • Must have at least 6months experience in operations, or an internship or in classroom instruction in lean manufacturing principles

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of Genie production processes
  • Ability to facilitate group problem solving activities in a structured manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good presentation skills are a must
  • Capability to complete standard work forms
  • Track record of implementing improvement opportunities
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office
  • Participation in no fewer than 5 (five) improvement events
  • Some college course work in a technical discipline a plus
