Worldwide Customer Support Electrician

Reporting to the Field Service Manager you will be responsible for providing a first class service to our dealers and customers worldwide by carrying out commissioning, training, servicing and fault-finding on our equipment with particular dedication to software/electrical fault-finding & training on mobile AC 3-phase & DC systems. The role will also entail working on our customer support helpdesk troubleshooting faults via the phone and internet as needed.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Working as part of a service team providing dedicated support to our dealers & customers
  • Carrying out maintenance/faultfinding on our mobile crushing & screening equipment
  • Perform Commissioning/Training to Worldwide dealer/customer base
  • Trouble shooting software problems & electrical faults with feedback for continuous product improvement.
  • Reading of electrical drawings
  • Provide detailed technical site reports
  • Carry out risk assessments/method statements to ensure work is carried out in a safe & effective manner.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

 

Essential

  • A Third Level Electrical Engineering Qualification or Vocational Time Served Electrical Qualification including City & Guilds 2382-12 17th edition
  • Proven experience with 3-phase & 12-24VDC electrical control systems including the use of AC inverters.
  • Ability to read, understand electrical schematics & engineering drawings
  • Operation and maintenance of electromechanical systems
  • Experience of electric system installation & wiring of plant equipment
  • A full clean driving licence & passport

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge & operation of mobile crushers & screeners
  • Good general mechanical maintenance
  • Diesel engine & hydraulic system knowledge
  • Knowledge/Use of PLC systems
