Production Planner

About the Role  

 

Reporting to the Production Control Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining production forecasts as part of the Sales and Operations Planning process. You will also co-ordinate all change requests from Sales departments.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for set up and maintenance of Slotting, and Production forecasts as per Sales and operations planning process to drive supply chain demand.
  • Ensure sales order demand is continuously aligned with forecast and master production schedule.
  • Manage and be the point of contact for change requests from Sales departments.
  • Assist in the monthly S&OP planning cycle.
  • Produce level loaded Production Plans.
  • Ensure accuracy of Takt schedules, including Main Build / Cut & Weld / Subassembly.
  • Monitor progress on build lines and be able to identify potential issues, and present remedial action.
  • Create weekly reports/KPI’s for Production and Operations meetings.
  • Responsible for ‘month-end’ work orders progression, and ensuring completed machines are in Finished Goods.

About you

 

Experience & Qualifications:

 

  • Good standard of education
  • Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be preferable
  • Creativity and innovative thinking

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills (attention to detail).
  • Competent user of MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel
  • A “Can do” attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
