Job Purpose:  

The primary purpose of this role is to manage daily planning in the local workshop in Oud Gastel and the workshop in UK. The Scheduler works closely with CS on customer order planning and works actively with local planning teams, SIOP department and Engineering to achieve an accurate operational plan.

 

 

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily and future PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) planning based on customer request, incoming inbound and PDI capacity.
  • Work closely with the CEVA PDI team to streamline work and help them sort out emerging issues.
  • Work with the CS (Customer Service) team on customer order planning and actively share updates on their orders and arrival dates.
  • Work closely with the SIOP team on sales forecast, production requests and lead times.
  • Actively manage stock levels and ages by the FIFO allocation system.
  • Work with the EDC (European Distribution Center) Engineering team to schedule pre-productions in PDI in order to get SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) and BOM’s (Bill of Material) available for the PDI team.
  • Raise production requests to our production plants and manage lead time with production schedulers.
  • Manage material levels for the reconfiguration process in PDI.
  • Machine demo management; work with CS team on customer demos and plan them in the workshop adapted to customer wishes.
  • Develop skills and knowledge about machine specifications and their options through study/training.
  • Plan external inspections for the French region.
  • Order corrections and perform machine allocation process.
  • Stock management; transfer machines into correct sub-inventories in order to classify them correctly in the system.

 

 

 

Education / qualifications:

  • MBO(+) educational level
  • Language: fluent in English is a must (spoken and written) + language of the position as published

 

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge about and experience in customer service.
  • Highly competent in MS Excel, order entry/configurator and other IT systems.
  • Analytical, precise, able to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and network relationship skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Process problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Accountable and flexible

 

 

Preferred Previous Experience:

  • Experience in international shipping
  • Experience and knowledge of Genie Terex products, machine specifications and their options.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system.
  • Knowledge of PDI, engineering and SIOP processes.
  • International sales experience / customer service experience
  • Work experience in a demanding environment.
  • Help or hire desk experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with planning in a workshop (daily work in PDI)
  • Experience with demand planning (SIOP)
