Position Overview:

The Senior IT Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Business teams and the Information Technology organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. The Senior IT Business Analyst will assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology, existing technology and both major and minor enhancements; translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications; and advise the IT teams on the direction of the business.

The Arial Work Platforms business will be supported, with a focus on the Global Commercial and Finance teams.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business and IT teams to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
  • Partner early in the definition phase to draft project charter with business counterparts to define initial scope, benefits, and cost estimates
  • Analyze, document and test development, logic, process flows and make recommendations for improvements
  • Support the implementation of systems, applications and enhancements across the Terex landscape to create an experience that positions Terex as best in class for customers
  • Partner with business to conduct user acceptance testing
  • Document user manuals to describe standard operating procedures
  • Understand and articulate how solutions will impact present and future business needs.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or other related field; or equivalent and relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • Minimum 5 years in IT and some exposure to financial and/or administrative processes
  • Oracle EBS capabilities strongly preferred
  • Experience working with customer relationship management systems preferred
  • Experience practicing Waterfall and Agile Project Methodologies
  • CBAP strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understand the fundamentals of Organizational Management (e.g., functions and focus of 1st line, middle and upper management within an IT organization)
  • Understand the elements of Operations and Planning (e.g., know how to define and implement operational processes, procedures, and controls; know how to define and implement policies to support tactical and strategic initiatives)
  • Knowledge in Organizational Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Operations Excellence (e.g., efficiency improvements, elimination of organization waste, tight cost controls etc.) desired
  • Exposure to change management and the use of metrics
  • Demonstrates high standards of professional behavior in dealings with clients, colleagues and staff
  • Demonstrates the ability to take responsibility and shows skill in the management of change and can handle contacts of all types and at all levels
  • Is conversant with the organizations IT strategy and governance, policies and standards
  • Demonstrates a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality

 

Travel:

  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time depending on assigned business and project initiatives
