Location:          Norwalk, CT; Hybrid, flexible/remote options are offered! Looking for someone within commutable distance to come into the office when needed.

Position Overview:

The Corporate Financial Systems and Cash Flow Analyst is responsible for (i) the day-to-day administration and management of the company's financial consolidation and performance reporting system, as well as the Lease Accounting system. This includes acting as the liaison with the user community (400+ users) at the businesses and with Corporate Finance, and other functions.  The position will also serve as a backup for the Sr. Manager – Corporate Financial Systems; (ii) the preparation of the consolidated cash flow statement for Terex Corporation for monthly internal reporting and quarterly for SEC filings in addition to other Accounting responsibilities.  This is a highly visible position that involves cross functional interface with all levels of the organization and offers the opportunity to make significant contributions to the accounting and internal control processes within the department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and serve as a backup to the Sr. Manager – Corporate Financial Systems.               
  • Administration and management of the company's financial consolidation and reporting system as well as the company’s Lease accounting system.  This will include but is not limited to:                                                                                                    
    • Implement changes to the OneStream XF, as well as LeaseController system after receiving required approvals.
    • Add/Delete new users as well as current user modifications and apply the appropriate level of security after receiving required approvals.
    • Create, maintain, and update all calc scripts, member formulas, and business rules to optimize efficiency and ensure data quality.
    • Create, maintain, and update cube views.
    • Execute periodic planned tasks applicable to individual systems and modules.
  • Provide support to the user community as required during monthly and quarterly reporting process and periodic forecasts and AOP processes. Work with corporate departments (Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and others as implemented) to provide support.
  • Work with the user community to identify and enhance their use of Onestream and LeaseController.
  • Develop and provide any training as required.                                                            
  • Assist with various process improvement projects.                                                          
  • Assist the Manager – Corporate Financial Systems in the setup and training of newly acquired businesses, and Corporate Accounting on divestitures.  
  • Assist business units who are rolling out TMS (Terex Management System) as required.
  •     Prepare the consolidated cash flow statement for internal reporting and external reporting in the 10Q/10K/Earnings Release
  • Financial analysis – perform review and analysis of cash flow data and results and prepare analytical explanations of Cash Flow results for Senior Management
  • Ensure successful execution of SOX controls related to the cash flow process
  • Work closely with the corporate treasury, corporate tax, consolidation, holdings accounting and external reporting teams to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the statement of cash flows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of cash flow reporting.
  • SOX/Internal Control - Support companywide internal control compliance initiative and prepare presentations based on results
  • Support corporate accounting team as needed.
  • Other projects as required.      

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related field.
  • A willingness to train others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with financial systems such as: Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Reports, OneStream or comparable business system within a large corporation.
  • Prior experience with web-based financial systems and system implementations.
  • Knowledge of Cash Flow statement, US GAAP
  • Public accounting/practice experience or experience in the corporate accounting group of a multi-national company

 

Language:

  • English is essential, and a second language is a plus but not required.
