Genie Warehouse – Materials Distribution Specialist

Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, a fortune 500 company that has branches worldwide. We manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms. Terex AWP operates its largest Genie finished product transfer center in North Bend, Washington. Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) is a leader in the manufacturing of aerial work platforms.

North Bend is 30 miles east of Seattle, WA. The Genie North Bend facility has eight main departments (Safety, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, and Engineering/Maintenance). Team members perform productive hands-on projects by putting together Genie parts, machines, and packages for customers.

Genie is looking for outstanding team members to work in the warehouse where they will be responsible for receiving material into the warehouse, picking customer orders and packing material for shipment. They may also perform Inventory Control responsibilities to resolve parts discrepancies.


Responsibilities and Duties:

•          Receiving: receives parts from suppliers. Count and verify parts against supplier pack list. Put parts away in stock location. Follows and maintains a (parts) pick-up and delivery schedule based on the needs of customer orders.

•          Picking Parts : fill customer orders. Follow order pick list to pick parts from various stock locations in warehouse, including customer and assembly orders. Deliver to shipping area for packing and shipment.

•          Shipping: pack parts for shipping. Process shipping paperwork, or use UPS computer system. Pack parts in appropriate container for shipping. They may work in woodshop building pallets or boxes.



•          Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

•          Must have minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.

•          Must be able to work alone and in a team environment

•          Must be able to work outside in extreme conditions

•          May be required to drive a forklift, 4-6 months forklift experience is preferred.

•          Requires basic math skills to read and pick customer orders

•          Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms

•          Strong orientation toward Safety and quality.

•          Ability to work well under pressure and to a deadline.

•          Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs.

•          Excellent attendance record and a willingness to work a flexible schedule to include overtime as required.



  • Requires sufficient reasoning ability to understand detailed, yet repetitive, written and oral instructions, and solve straight forward problems.
  • Requires the ability to learn and understand safety, continuous quality, and just-in-time within reasonable period of time.
  • Requires the ability to work as a member of a team and maintain harmonious work relationships with others.  
  • Requires the ability to observe safe work practices and handle hazardous materials according to accepted procedures.  
  • May require the ability to perform work assignments on varying schedules.

Physical Abilities

  • Requires ambulatory ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl on a continuous basis; up to 10 hours a day.
  • Requires the ability to lift, pull, push and guide medium weigh objects (20-40 pounds) on a continuous basis.
  • Requires sufficient hand-arm-eye coordination to guide objects into specific placement or alignment, and make precise measurements.
  • Requires visual acuity to observe moving objects and events, select, and place materials. Requires auditory ability to project voice in a production environment and hear instructions

Working Conditions
Work is performed a manufacturing environment where significant safety considerations exist from use of dangerous equipment, proximity to moving objects, full-body physical labor and handling of medium-to-heavy weight materials. Required equipment for all operations includes but not limited to; steel toe shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses.
