This role is responsible for developing and applying reliable engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. These problems can be mechanical, structural, electrical, and/or hydraulic in nature.  You will provide support for the development of plant layouts, production processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment selection and technical support for our assembly and inspection processes in our distribution facility.


You will manage technical projects in process development, design, and/or development of Genie production systems.  You'll be responsible for developing new concepts from initial design through manufacturing startup and continued support for daily production. Designs are documented by creating models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD. The ability to manage large scale projects and multiple projects simultaneously is essential. 



Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years experience in engineering/manufacturing in lieu of degree


Preferred Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited school
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Experience with assembly techniques
  • Experienced in the development of plant layouts, material flow improvement and detailed drawings of production areas
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research, development and maintenance of equipment and processes
  • Capability to utilize wide application of standard mechanical and/or industrial engineering principles, theories and concepts
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/electrical control systems
  • Experience with structural analysis (Ansys)
  • Experience managing moderate to large scale projects with minimal supervision and managing several projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of and implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers
