Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities

 

Data Analytics

  • Analysis and interrogation of systems data
  • Establish data governance to maximize reporting capabilities of ERP system
  • Write business analytic queries and develop reporting dashboards
  • Systems process analysis and development, ensuring correct material and process flows
  • Support the operations and supply chain departments in ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide detailed revenue, cost and NWC analysis to the Operational Controller
  • Prepare spend trackers vs AOP or latest forecast, for discussion with department managers
  • Provide efficiency analysis for Operations and Financial managers
  • Assist with Preparation and input of Annual Operating Plan & Forecasts, including assisting departmental managers with their individual departmental Operating Plans

    Operational Finance
  • Set-up and monitor results of Cycle Count program
  • Maintain standard cost system, including:
    • Standard cost setting
    • WIP accounting and job analysis
    • Inventory reserve accruals and roll forward analysis on excess, obsolete, lower cost of market, and warranty inventory reserves
  • Assist Controller to ensure that all month/year end corporate deadlines are met
  • Responsible for month-end reporting and sales analysis by product line, sales manager, region, etc.
  • Managing daily cost accounting activities, such as PN set-ups or material adjustments
  • Assist the Controller in the writing of Control Validation Document processes, perform “walk through” tests on Standard Operation Processes to ensure compliance

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 2 years cost accounting, business analytics or financial planning and analysis experience
     

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 3 - 5 years cost accounting, business analytics, financial planning and analysis, or other related functions within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment
  • Demonstrate excellent Microsoft office skills especially Excel
  • Extensive hands-on experience with ERP systems
  • Able to gather and analyze relevant information, and coordinate work with others
  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Identifies complex problems and recommends solutions
  • Makes sound decisions on routine matters in support of immediate work group's goals
  • Functions independently within context of day-to-day activities
  • Influences how own work assignments are completed. Some creativity in accomplishing assignments and use of discretion and independent judgment 
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to be flexible with time if required to ensure deadlines are met
