Position overview

Title: Head of Investor Relations

Location: Hybrid / Norwalk, CT / Remote (in-person at Norwalk for quarterly earnings preparation and earnings calls – 4 months per year)

Travel: required up to 30% (Norwalk-based) or 50% (based at another location)

 

About the position

The Head of Investor Relations will work directly with the Terex CFO and finance team to devise and execute an investor relations strategy that delivers value for Terex stakeholders. Key areas of responsibilities include: the preparation of Terex earnings releases and conference call scripts, preparation and delivery of investor and board presentation materials; building relationships with investors and analysts; and attending investor conferences, trade shows, etc. The successful candidate will have exposure to the Terex CEO, CFO, and other members of the Terex Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and will act as liaison for the investment community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of Terex operations, strategy, and financial performance and history.
  • Partner with Terex CFO and finance to prepare and execute an effective investor relations strategy. Recommend changes in presentations and messaging to the investor community.
  • Partner with Terex CFO and finance to analyze financial data and market projections to make informed decisions regarding strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with analysts and investors.
  • Educate analysts and investors about the company, including current state and future plans.
  • Coordinate and host investor engagement initiatives, such as investor days and 1:1 communications.
  • Participate in investor conferences, trade shows, etc. to represent Terex and stay current on investor and customer expectations. Travel required.
  • Prepare materials timely for quarterly and year-end earnings, SEC filings, press releases, Q&A materials, Board meetings, investor conference, competitor information etc.
  • Proactively keep the ELT current on competitors and investor expectations by identifying, summarizing, and distributing relevant new and current trends including competitor announcements, current macro environment to key Terex leaders.

 

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in investor relations; may consider equivalent experience in business development, finance, and / or planning or strategy; experience in manufacturing sector is a plus.
  • Understanding of SEC reporting requirements
  • Understanding of financial reporting and modeling, and valuation techniques used by investment professionals.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to present complex information to various audiences.
