E-Commerce Business Analyst - Remote

About the Position:

Title:                           E-Commerce Business Analyst

Reports to:                 Snr Manager, Digital Customer Experience

Location:                    Redmond, WA based; or remote-based in the US

 

Position Overview:

The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Genie Parts commercial and operational teams and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.

 

The ideal candidate will analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions; assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology; translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications; and advise the IT teams on the direction of the business.

The key focus of the role will be to collect and map business requirements to IT services and IT architecture ensuring business value and the quality of delivery. It will also include day-to-day support of all relevant business applications.

Acts as an interface and mediator between development teams and the internal/external customer or end user. Communicates and translates requirements to the development teams, using functional and technical specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other valid types of documentation. Coordinates with developers and users to test processes and master data to ensure the required functionality and user acceptance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the continuous improvement of the Terex enterprise eCommerce platform to drive improvements in User Experience and User Engagement. 
  • Launch the eCommerce solution to new regions and brands in-line with the roadmap.
  • Collate and document business requirements using interviews, meetings/workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow analysis
  • Prepare decision making input to document/present available options to all stakeholders and make recommendations based on financial, functional, resource, and technological considerations.
  • Ensure that colleagues, customers and stakeholders stay informed of progress, issues, risks and interdependencies relating to operational plans and projects.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with IT and Development teams, as well as the wider Terex commercial and operational organizations.
  • Creating user documentation or training materials for internal or external user groups.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field; or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Analytical and basic project management skills, with a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce (Oracle CX preferred) application and implementation
  • Strong data analytical skills. (Advanced Excel, SQL)
  • Experience working with platform integrations including CRM, ERP, PIM, DAM, etc.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS
  • PMP or Scrum certification welcome.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with cross-functional, global teams
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues, ensure all interested parties stay informed of progress and deliver solutions.

  • Strong moderation skills
  • Great at managing ambiguity
