Responsibilities

 

  • perform well in team-based activities including product and process design
  •  able to work well in a fast, self-directed work environment managing their personal tasks to ensure that project timelines and objectives are met
  • must have a good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and have a good track record of developing and implementing process improvements
  • Root cause identification through data analysis
  • Develop and implement improvements for short term and long term
  • Multi-task and interact effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Develops monitors and improves processes to achieve company objectives

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Prior experience in project management is required.  This experience may include NPD and large scale/scope engineering change for current products.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is desirable.
  • Must be able to manage workload for multiple projects at once.
  • Must have a proven history of working independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated team player and team leader qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (ABET certified): Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or Industrial is strongly preferred.  Other degrees will be considered with appropriate experience.
  • 4 + years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to develop and monitor measurable process for process improvement and root cause identification
  • Excellent problem-solving skills (5Y, Ishikawa, FTA)
  • Manufacturing process experience with one or more of following:  hydraulics, steel, fabrication, electrical, powertrain
  • Typical work hours will be four 10 hour days, Monday – Thursday. Candidates should expect to work additional hours/days as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
