Field Service Engineer

Louisville, KY, US

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing first class Technical Helpdesk & Service assistance to our dealer network in North America.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite services to the dealer and customer network, in addition to taking calls and responding to emails. 
  • Collaborate with Service, Engineering & Operations Teams to ensure referral of all issues are properly logged and dealt with on a timely basis so ongoing improvements can be made accordingly.
  • Identify any design and technology alternatives to help resolve field issues ensuring appropriate maintenance and ongoing improvements are carried out to current models. 
  • Provide the Dealer Network with the required support and service that they require to ensure that they are completely satisfied with our Product and Service
  • Working with the dedicated service team delivering first class service to our dealers and customers.
  • Deliver product training on site and in classroom environment (PowerPoint).


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report
  • 2+ years of on the job experience in the construction or mining industry 


Preffered Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in  Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Willing to work varied hours, including evenings as necessary and be on the road three to four nights per week with occasional overnights
  • Ability to read Electrical and Hydraulic Blueprints and Schematics
  • Ability to follow safety rules and regulations while completing work tasks
  • Basic computer skills
  • Work experience in the installation & maintenance of crushing and screening machinery
  • Experience with applications the equipment can operate in, along with an understanding for the expected performance of the machines
  • Excellent technical expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Proven track record of working in a customer facing environment
  • Capacity to communicate to dealers at all levels and across a diverse customer base, building effective working relationships
  • Ability to develop effective relationships internally, at a variety of levels and work closely with sales and product management teams
  • Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills are essential; CAD skills 
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
