Terex are expanding and are now recruiting for a Parts Sales Lead to be based at our Long Creadon site. This is an excellent opportunity to join and make a direct impact on the performance of a market leading, global organisation.

 

This team is responsible for the organization's inventory of spare parts. They are involved in operations related to the acquisition and distribution of spare parts for company or customer equipment. They develop and implement policies governing parts inventory, order and reorder parts to ensure adequate supply levels at all times, ensure that organizations storage facilities to ensure parts are easily accessible, and ship or otherwise distribute parts to locations where they are needed. They maintain an inventory tracking system with accurate item counts. They stay informed of engineering or product changes and modifies inventory in response.

 

     PURPOSE OF ROLE:

 

  • Provide parts support to the UK & Ireland customer base and Terex service team (workshop & Field)
  • Optimise parts revenues and margins.
  • Provide leadership to the Long Crendon Parts team.
  • Principle Long Crendon contact for all parts related matters in UK & Ireland.
  • Optimise local parts inventories and coverage.
  • Optimise inbound & outbound logistics solutions and services.

 

Key Outputs:

 

  • Process customer enquiries/quotes & orders (external customer & service control desk).
  • Manage inboard and outbound logistics (receiving, despatch/delivery to customer site or factory)
  • Daily management of inventories (receipts & returns)
  • Oversee parts returns to regional & international parts facilities.
  • Provide direct support to key parts accounts (TVS, Alatas).
  • Roll out group parts marketing initiatives.
  • Comply with SOX delegation of authority (DOA), signature of acceptance (SOA) limits.
  • Produce monthly SOX reports as required.
  • Sign off monthly SOX reports.
  • Authorise credits per SOC DOA limits.
  • Manual release of high value orders or where credit limits exceeded.
  • Team Member performance and development reviews.

 

 

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES FOR THE ROLE :

 

  • Industry recognised qualification in materials management and logistics would be a distinct advantage.
  • Intimate knowledge of parts business systems (SAP/Oracle), practices and processes.
  • Parts technical knowledge (function & location)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Assertive, with ability to influence all stakeholders (internal & external).
  • Self motivated and results driven.
  • Maintain long term project momentum.
