About the Role  

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Systems Lead, the Graduate Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures and equipment to maximise safety, quality and delivery, and to minimise cost of manufacture.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Working directly with NPPD team and Design engineering to introduce new products to the manufacturing

   process.

• Plan, coordinate and implement the most efficient and cost effective production methods required to

   manufacture major sub-components and final assembly of machines.

• Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish / implement

   containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.

• Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise

   efficiency.

• Management of BOMs and material movement through Plan For Every Part.

• Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles including Yamazumi

   and 5S.

• Provide production support to production departments.

About you

 

 

  • BEng in Engineering or relevant experience.
  • A sound knowledge of manufacturing, material management and industrial engineering.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good English communication skill, both written and spoken.
  • Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Process management skills
  • An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques an advantage.
  • Computer literate and experience of Oracle /ERP systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities & goals.
  • Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
