Sales Director

Due to internal promotion Genie UK Ltd are actively recruiting a UK based Sales Director to cover UK/Ireland/Nordics. Location flexible.  

 

About the Role:

You will develop new sales leads and service existing customers with the support of a team of Sales Managers. You will have responsibility for all commercial activities in the region and use Sales Force to monitor sales activities, budgets, pipeline health and coverage. 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales leads and service existing customers within assigned territory and region.
  • Lead, develop and manage a team of Territory Sales Managers.
  • Manage discount levels to improve company margin.
  • Establish sales forecasts and secure sales orders according to goals.
  • Control expenses per agreed-upon budget
  • Ongoing research of local market and business activity and identify opportunities.
  • Educate customers on products, services, warranties and technical support. Ensure customers have access to engineers, field service and other team members as necessary.
  • Demonstrate and teach appropriate Value selling skills, closing techniques, quotation and specification writing across both Retail & Rental Segments.
  • Provide Market input on Products and Services back through the organisation to support development of future offerings to maximise Customer value.
  • To identify problems and lead resolution of significant business issues.
  • Monitor competitor activities as well as collect and feed back market information and report sales progress regularly.
  • Develop & Support Dealer Network in the region to provide superior customer experience.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by monitoring Genie performance and by focusing internal resource on customer expectations.

 

 

 

Skills:

  • 3+ years of distribution sales knowledge and experience (rental channels and dealerships)
  • Professional level knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience of delivering formal presentations to customers
  • Fluency in English language
  • Knowledge of the Genie product line, engineering, manufacturing and product support process.
  • Excellent problem solving skills to develop sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams.
  • Time and Territory Management practices must be exceptional.
  • Extensive travel (including overseas may be) required.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or industrial outside sales, (construction industry experience a plus).

 

Location is flexible however, candidates should be able to travel to relevant regions.
