Maintain accurate inventory by identifying the major root cause issues, creating action plans to resolve problems, and following them to resolution.  Monitoring and reporting on key inventory statistics.



Assist in the development and overall management of a pull-based signaling system for the accurate procurement of inventory items to support efficient tact time production in a made-to-order manufacturing facility



Work with buyers, suppliers to develop effective inventory management tools & techniques (kan-ban, min/max, lead-time reduction, etc.), minimizing the creation of obsolete inventory, and disposition of existing obsolete inventory.



Facilitating workshops focused on improving business processes, implementing technology, or training employee’s relating to improving inventory accuracy, increasing inventory turnover, and decreasing inventory obsolescence


Basic Qualifications:


1-2 years of strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Pivot Tables, ERP & MRP systems

2 years of experience with Inventory Control, preferably in a Lean environment

1-2 years of experience with Kan-ban and Inventory systems/experience



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Assoc. Degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience in an analyst role or equivalent
  • Relevant Industry Experience is preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the material handling field
  • Ability to multitask prioritizes work, and work closely with other departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience-based working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement, with a focus on root cause problem solving.
  • Assist in the development and overall management of a pull-based signaling system for the accurate procurement of inventory items to support efficient tact time production in a made-to-order manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and maintain signal based pull material system utilizing visual controls and tools.
  • Develop material data plan
  • Develop pull sequence audits to validate kan-ban cards are in appropriate locations.
  • Audit Kanban processes to verify accurate sizing and frequencies to support scheduled production and forecasted aftermarket demands within planned inventory levels.
  • Work with Engineering Product Data Coordinators and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure accurate inventory items and replenishment cycles, including Engineering Change Notice implementation.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse/Material Handler personnel to assure accurate Kanban quantities are available for production.
  • Audit Material Handling team to ensure calculated Kanban quantities are being pulled in a scheduled manner.
  • Develop and lead Kaizen activities with Production and Material Handling teams to continually improve the safe delivery of material to the production team.
  • Assist the Production Scheduling team in the timely processing of accurate inventory transactions, including RIP and Back flushing of completed assemblies.  Perform data entry for production orders.
  • Maintain the PFEP database and related card processing system for the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
