Position Overview 

We are seeking a proficient Taxation Manager who will be responsible for income tax reporting and compliance for the Terex group throughout Australia and South East Asia.

The role will enable business finance managers and site controllers to accurately account for GAAP and statutory tax balances, while ensuring income tax compliance.  Provide tax counsel and support Terex business operations in decision making, including acquisitions, dispositions and new projects.


  • Improve income tax compliance processes so that each process is precise and is performed cost-efficiently.
  • Train and direct finance personnel in U.S. GAAP and tax accounting.
  • Review and approve quarterly income tax provision workbooks
  • Lead efforts to secure tax and financial incentives from local governments.
  • Closely coordinate with the Terex Tax team to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.
  • Coordinate local transfer pricing reporting
  • Identify and implement tax minimisation strategies for existing operations, support and expand initiatives to work more cooperatively with government officials in developing tax policy in Australia.
  • Manage tax audits either directly or through use of appropriate outside advisors, and proactively review businesses to identify compliance risks.
  • Coordinate with the Terex Tax and Treasury teams to ensure tax-efficient funding of operations and obtain efficient repatriation of income.
  • Optimise the capital structure of Terex companies and their short and long term funding needs.


Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business / Finance / Accounting
  • Technical and analytical skills in tax and finance
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and computer skills
  • Public accounting and multi-national corporate experience and familiarity with U.S. GAAP is very desirable
  • Ideally some knowledge of the heavy equipment industry
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
