Position Overview
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all payroll activities, including payroll and payroll tax processing, workers compensation insurances, payroll reporting and financial reporting. The Payroll Administrator will have experience with awards, tax legislation, superannuation, insurances and government payments.



  • Point of contact for all payroll processing and documentation to our managed service provider ADP.
  • Facilitate variable data, adjustments and final payroll processing for each pay run.
  • Facilitate ad hoc payroll service requests.  
  • Creating and maintaining employee records within the ADP payroll and Kronos time and attendance systems ensuring consistency with individual employment contract details.
  • Assisting team members with the use of the Employee Self Service portal, timesheets and any related enquiries.
  • Complete monthly payroll tax returns.
  • Processing of Paid Parental Leave, Child Support and Apprenticeship progression payments.
  • Completion of the various states Workers Compensation renewals and payments.
  • Generate weekly, fortnightly and monthly reporting.
  • Assist the Finance team with bank reconciliations.
  • Distribution of end of pay reports to the Finance team.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Payroll/Accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a payroll administration role. 
  • Ability to work in a busy and team environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Knowledge of legislative, regulatory and policy framework relating to payroll.
  • Knowledge of various Australian State payroll tax legislation.
  • Able to gather and analyse relevant information and coordinate work with team members.
  • Makes sound decisions on routine matters.
  • Functions independently within context of day-to-day activities.
