Due to growth and change within Terex to become more operational finance, we seek a Business Analyst to support Minerals Processing Systems.  The role will support MP and the sites in all areas of reporting, detailed analysis, planning, support, and control relative to the Business Segment performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Brand reporting, site packs, commercial packs, etc.  Ensure distribution of reports submitted to meet corporate, site, and brand deadlines including management review and discussion.  Main Priority and take lead to develop and enhance.  Need variances/commentaries to be accurate and informative.  Roll up/consolidation of monthly data for periodic and YTD reporting with comparisons to AOP, forecasts, and prior year data.
  • Preparation of key monthly operational business summaries.  Compares performance with operating plans and standards and covering key performance indicators.  Provides reports and interprets the result of operation to all levels of management. 
  • Work with site managers and finance leads around the world to understand individual business trends in detail.  Monitors sales, operations, and other departmental spending, ensuring trends and exceptions are appropriately analyzed and followed up. Trend analysis relative to sales forecasts, business performance, expense, SG & A.
  • Responsible for timely preparation and development of consolidated forecasts and annual budgets, improve forecast accuracy and work with department managers on improvements and early indicators.  Roll up of site forecasts for Brand.  Bridge analysis to prior periods and budget with clear understanding of trends and impacts of the business or upcoming changes. 
  • Assistance with preparation of Brand and sales data for business reviews, meetings as necessary using Excel and PowerPoint.  Interact with sites to get consistent data and formats.
  • Creates templates as needed in support of the role.  Use of OneStream or Hyperion and Excel to do reporting. Prepare OneStream data pulls and or load data for forecasts & budgets.
  • Assist with brand strategy calculations and presentation updates
  • Perform profitability analysis on machines, parts, and service sales transactions.  Tracking log of by model sales for comparisons, modular, etc. 
  • I/C Price book assistance and cost plus pricing analysis. 
  • Sales and other distributor reporting to support sales and brands as necessary, especially Americas for machines and parts by dealer.  Validating of Quikview reporting tool.
  • Sales tracking by model for MPS for 3rd party sales and margins, Additional discount tracking
  • Assist with calculations and documentation for sales commissions and bonus calculations.
  • Provide financial assistance to sales regarding revenue recognition, or obtaining credit releases.
  • Coordinate with management on Sox issues and reviews to ensure compliance.  Assist as needed to help perform Sox testing.
  • Assist with annual compliance and Due Diligence reporting and other ad hoc reports as necessary. 
  • Assist MPS Finance Director and MPS Global Product Line Director with various other projects as needed. 

 
 
Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelors degree 
  • 2+ years experience as a financial or business analyst  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Manufacturing exposure or Operational experience within business would be advantageous.
  • Needs to have  expert Microsoft Office Products experience, specifically with Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word as well as the ability to learn corporate ERP system
  • Understanding of exchange rates
  • Experience with Hyperion or OneStream
  • Experience with consolidating/working with multiple sites
  • Need to be available for overtime during "busy" times in the business
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
