Terex is split into two business segments – Terex Aerials Works Platforms (home of the Genie brand) and Terex Materials Processing (MP). The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, all-round communicator, preferably with both internal and external communications experience, to play an integral role in an established, global manufacturing company. As part of a well-regarded communications team and with direction, support and guidance from Group Marketing and Corporate Communications, you will have an opportunity to learn, develop and make an impact in support of corporate goals and objectives.

 

Areas of focus include developing and implementing communication strategies to promote exciting growth initiatives, supporting Terex MP’s brand marketing managers in new product launches, job stories and events, and driving team member engagement by creating interesting content for various established internal communications platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with MP sites globally to develop content for established internal communication platforms including intranet, newsletter, webinar and email.
  • Support the Terex MP brands in writing/editing and distribution of press releases to obtain coverage for new products, dealers, exhibitions and job/application stories.
  • Work with the MP sites in Ireland to develop content for local media, Terex social media channels, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute integrated internal and external communications plans as required to announce any major growth initiatives.
  • Produce monthly Market Intelligence newsletters using existing established processes.
  • Regular liaison with Group Marketing Manager, Corporate Communications, and HR teams to maintain linkage with Terex-wide initiatives and obtain guidance as required.  
  • Provide communications support for Terex leadership team with presentations, awards, announcements, as required.
  • Ensure all communications activity adhere to Terex Corporate Communications guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree educated or equivalent, preferably in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or relevant related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ internal and external communications experience.
  • Experience of writing for a variety of audiences.

 

Skills

  • Excellent, quick writing and editing skills, high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on your own and be able to prioritise what is most important.
  • Good collaboration skills with ability to liaise confidently with people at all levels.
  • Ability to quickly absorb company culture and reflect this in communications.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
