Service Technician (Cranes VIC)

NOW SEEKING….a Trade Qualified Mechanic (or dual trade Mechanic/Electrician) for an immediate start to provide technical support, fault finding, repair and maintenance services to a range of cranes and related equipment. This role will be workshop based in Dandenong South, Victoria.

What will you do?

  • Deliver schedule servicing and inspections of plant and equipment including but not limited to:
    • Hydraulics
    • Boom re-builds
    • Pneumatics
    • Electrical
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and service works and perform specific machining tasks where required;
  • Maintain effective communications with all internal and external customers;
  • Complete all relevant documentation as required;
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices, trade assistants and sub-contractors in regard to the performance of Maintenance tasks, if required;
  • Represent the company in its relationships with major customers;
  • Take part in training and multi-tasking;

What we need you to have:

  • A proven commitment to safety and complying with safe systems of work.
  • Suitable Automotive Trade qualification.
  • C Class Driver’s License with HR License preferred.
  • Experience with maintaining earthmoving  plant or heavy automotive equipment is essential.
  • Experience with the Terex Franna or other mobile crane products is preferred but not essential.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to problem solve routine issues.
  • Possess  a positive attitude to work well within a Team.
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow your experience.
