Service Supervisor

Location: Dandenong South, VIC

Reports to: Sales & Service Manager

Position Summary

Providing supervision to the Victoria Service Team and coordinating all tasks and responsibilities to ensure they are carried out to the highest quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all Terex Policies, procedures, work instructions, OH&S and QA system;
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the service team and service department;
  • Supervise and coordinate estimations, planning, allocation of labour and parts for all major inspections, rebuilds, workshop repairs and field service activities;
  • Ensure all jobs are compliant and complete successully by maintainng safety, efficiency, quality, standards and maximising utilisation, while working within estimated pricing and promise dates;
  • Represent the Service Team in its relationships with all customers by maintaining effective communications;
  • Communicate scope of work with fitters, assist with diagnosis and communicate with other departmens for technical information;
  • Ensure that all repairs remain within budget and on time by daily reviewing progess of repairs;
  • Assist with enquiries and discuss technical issues with customers;
  • Assist with repairs, maintenance and servicing work where required;
  • assist in identifying training requirements for the Service Department;
  • Actively attend and take part in meetings, training and team group projects;
  • Anny other duties as required or directed  by your manager.

 

Skills and Qualifications 

Education / Training

  • Trade qualified

Skills & Experience

  • good communication skills with both internal and external customers;
  • Hands on operational experience in large equipment, maintenance, and product support;
  • Experience within the crane industry is preferable;
  • Previous experience within a supervisory role;
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships within internal and external customers;
  • Strong organisational and time management skillls with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Technically minded and ability to troubleshoot problems;
  • Computer literate in MS suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
