About the Position:

Title:               IT Delivery Lead, P&S   

Reports to:     Director, IT Business Engagement Lead 

Location:        Northern Ireland            

        

 

Position Overview:

The IT Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating approved projects in the Parts and Services IT project portfolio. As part of the Global P&S IT Business Engagement team, you will work closely with technology stakeholders – IT implementation team, IT project manager, business analysts, 3rd party technology partners etc., and business stakeholders to deliver expected benefits and value to customers.

In this role, you will actively monitor and oversee the health of the P&S IT project portfolio, track key milestones and risks across all projects/programs (including budget consumption), and provide consolidated reporting to IT and P&S Leadership. You’ll conduct regular quality reviews and actively seek improvements in project delivery. Finally, in partnership with the IT PMO Leader, you will play a key role in continuously improving project management processes and methodologies for the IT community. While this role will initially focus on project delivery it is expected to mature into an end to end Portfolio management role

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Project leads and stakeholders as well as IT solution delivery teams and functions to optimize the project delivery portfolio
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and the Business owner to integrate the various project efforts
  • Partner with Corporate IT Operations/Support and Segment Engagement teams to ensure seamless project handover for ongoing support and maintenance
  • Actively identify, manage and mitigate schedule and resource conflicts and dependencies across the IT portfolio
  • Manage team resources including resource planning, forecasting, and optimization against priorities
  • Provide Business owners with the information and data needed to make decisions
  • Collaborate with project managers to lead/manage a variety of IT projects by creating clear plans, timelines, resource requirements, etc.
  • Support project managers to deliver on-time, within-budget, to defined value
  • Provide guidance to vendor/partner project managers, integrating their engagements into our IT project delivery framework
  • Act as the technology advisor to business partners
  • Work with business partners to determine business needs, priorities and resource requirements
  • Ensure essential business requirements are captured and understood and reflected in solutions
  • Actively supervise the governance process for risk and issue management and drive effective, efficient resolutions to maintain project health
  • Conduct health checks and quality reviews of major, complex programs
  • Develop/further improve project management delivery processes and methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing large IT projects, including direct experience as a Delivery Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification/Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with business and IT partners and functions
  • Experience in Agile methodology and Scrum framework, including integration into the project delivery framework
  • Experience working with cross-functional global teams
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Excellent leadership, management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), specifically Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Shipping, Warehouse Management, Install Base, Purchasing, Inventory etc.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service functions, specifically Field Service
  • Experience in Industrial Manufacturing and Service Parts Distribution industry

Travel:

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestic and international
