Position Overview


The Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead is a permanent position within GBS focused on the Customer to Cash business cycle.  This role leads a team and actively participates in all aspects of invoice distribution, cash receipt, cash application, reconciliation, and collections.


The AR Team Lead will actively lead the AR team with accounts receivable transactional processing responsibilities.  This position is a lead role in the accounts receivable area which calls for excellent skills in communication, time management, people management, attention to detail, and customer service.  A successful team member in this role will partner with sales, finance, and customers to ensure results are achieved while providing world-class customer service.  This role is also responsible to create an environment and culture that fosters business process improvement and continued team member development.


Required Education and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (finance related discipline preferred) or candidates with substantial experience gained without this qualification will be considered
  • Commenced professional exams, or an intention to pursue professional qualification in the near future
  • Strong proven experience in credit control and staff supervision with proven experience in meeting targets
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and high volume environment is essential - shared service center experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of managing and developing people
  • Experience in accounting and financial systems
  • Experience in interfacing with business operational customers
  • Experience in Customer to Cash process improvement and application systems implementation
  • High degree of competency in MS Office suite
