Responsibilities and Scope

IT Application business analyst will be responsible for application system daily operation and support, and will be involved in the application project implementation and delivery. Provides a wide variety of one-on-one instruction, help, and troubleshooting on common to advanced application system problems used for finance, supply chain management and manufacturing. Performs a wide variety of diagnostic inspections and repair on ERP application and assists the business to validate and repair data. Creates, maintains and administers documentation and training for the usage of application systems. Creates and maintains queries and reports as required to support the business.

The scope will be focused on ERP application, and can be extended to other application systems based on business requests.


Essential Functions

  • Provide daily operational support and application system maintenance to business teams, ensure the application system performance can meet business operational requirement;
  • Document all application incidents, problems and Change Requests in Service Now platform, and work with related application team members and business users to solve incidents, problems, deploy the required Change in a timely manner;
  • Work with business team to understand, analyze, capture and document business requirements and propose applicable solution, communicate and coordinate with involved functional teams to ensure the solution can satisfy business requirements;
  • Work closely with a project team, which includes business users and IT application team members, throughout the project implementation from start up to post go-live support;
  • Take active role during QA and UAT testing during the project implementation;
  • Create and maintain documentation of the systems and implemented processes, provide training to specific user of application system;
  • Take part in the relevant SOX audits, preparing and providing the proper evidence accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position;

Knowledge and Skills

  • Requires in-depth technical knowledge of package solution (Kingdee, SAP, Oracle), including the relationship and usage of various modules and data components, business and education support software and terminology.
  • Must understand the protocols and procedures for setting up new user accounts, troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance.
  • Requires sufficient communication skills to conduct individual instruction and technical assistance on the usage of application systems.


  • Must be able to perform all the relevant duties of the position with necessary supervision.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of computer terminals, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Requires the ability to analyze technical problems and to develop and apply appropriate solutions.
  • Must be able to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals. Must be able to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines and maintain schedules. 


Working Conditions
Typically works in an office environment using computer equipment and standard office equipment. May be required to travel off site to provide technical assistance to commercial personnel.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System Management or related disciplines.
  • Alternatively, three years of college-level course in Computer Science, Information System Management or related disciplines, work in the same areas and two years of additional job training or experience.


  1. Candidates should have at least 5+ years working experiences in package solution (Kingdee, SAP, Oracle etc.) application operation and support, and experience in the application project implementation of Kingdee or other ERP systems;
  2. Good knowledge of Finance including general accounting, standard accounting; and business knowledge including supply chain management, production, sales etc.;
  3. Excellent team work player can coordinate and work with business and IT team members;
  4. Programming experience in VB and SQL script is required;
  5. Able to solve users’ problem in daily operation of application system, and coordinate with system vendor for non-routine applications issues;
  6. Self-motivated, honest, enthusiastic, with high ethical standard, and socially mature;
  7. Proficiency in both written and oral English;
  8. Flexibility in a fast-moving environment, project roles in matrix organization
