Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage ongoing infrastructure, designing and implementing upgrades as required
  • Work on both local and global infrastructure projects, ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Analyse, resolve and perform root cause analysis for serious systems failures that impact the performance or functionality of Terex systems
  • Identify and report any potential risks to the Infrastructure Manager
  • Ensure the operational health of a mission-critical environment across the Global IT infrastructure
  • Act as a Level 3 escalation point on infrastructure issues
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for SOX & global IT Policies & Procedures.
  • Maintenance of a centralized IT document repository to support the operational efficiency of the wider GIOS IT team.
  • Support of O365 and SCCM environment


Level of education required:      

  • B.Tech/B.E or equivalent in any specialization


Level of education desirable:

  • Certification in relevant technologies such as VMWare, Microsoft O365, Azure and AWS
  • Experience will be considered in lieu of requirements above



Experience Level: 

  • 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer within medium to large organisations
  • knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting and configuring VMware and Windows Servers (Cloud experience desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS 7/10 and Server 2012+
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 suite
  • Technical management and deployments of public cloud infrastructure including use / migration to AWS or Public Cloud for Server infrastructure desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner to both staff and stakeholders alike
  • Demonstrable experience of participating in or managing successful infrastructure change projects
  • Experience in system testing desirable, including documentation
  • Knowledge of data protection and other related compliance legislation


  • Have a keen interest and willing to learn in IT and infrastructure related services
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work well with people from many different cultural backgrounds, different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations.
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues, ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress and deliver solutions.
  • Planning and priority setting capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
    Language Requirements:  English, second language desirable
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time depending on assigned business and project initiatives.
