This team develops and administers policies and procedures that promote environmental protection and promote healthy and safe facilities for employees and visitors. They understand and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety. They inspect and audit facilities for potential environmental or safety concerns. They may be responsible for safe handling and proper disposal of hazardous materials or bio-waste. They investigate incidents or accidents and gather and analyzes statistics. They prepare and submit accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.


  • Drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness of site HSE programs, procedures and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, effective utilization of Terex best practices, and enhanced productivity.
  • Develop and drive site-specific HSE training programs such as SPCC, Storm water, and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Perform HSE compliance audits/inspections.
  • Investigate environmental/safety incidents conducting root cause analysis and driving implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to operations personnel to ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Drive HSE performance metrics/improvement across the site and ensure all metrics are monitored and maintained.
  • Promote HSE awareness, performance and engagement throughout the site.
  • Perform risks assessments for new tooling & equipment.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of 5S/Lean programs.
  • Function as a member team following Facilities Manager direction to achieve goals
  • Coordinate and oversee routine building preventative maintenance and inspections performed by self, team, and vendors
  • Coordinate facilities projects, and schedules
  • Assist with facilities budget, PO creation, and tracking
  • Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities and process work assignments
  • Respond in timely manner to emergency facilities situations, and customer concerns
  • Maintain vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective and timely support of operations
  • Implement facilities and companies processes, and programs
  • Establish and communicate quality and safety level to expectation with team and vendors
  • Understand and comply with all applicable codes, and regulations
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or occupational safety and health, environmental health and safety, or equivalent discipline.
  • 1 year work experience or knowledge with compliance regulations and industry practices:  OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.
  • Knowledge of all required environmental reporting for local, state, and federal agencies.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 -3 years of environmental health & safety work experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to address demands from multiple projects and people.
  • Good analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and industry practices:  OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.
  • Strong MS Office and presentation skills.
