Project Manager II/III - Continuous Improvement

 

We are seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Leader to join the Global Engineering Project Management Team.  The person in this role will help lead the evolution of Genie's New Product Development Processes and Engineering Management System to lead the industry in delivering innovative, Best in Class products.

 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about business processes and discovering opportunities for improvements by actively gathering and analyzing data from existing processes and business operations to improve systems and processes.  Primary focuses include New Product Development, Project Management and Engineering Management processes, creating dashboards, tracking performance, and driving excellence.  A successful candidate will have a high capacity to learn with a strong proficiency for being inquisitive in leading and driving improvements in dynamic business. 

 

Key Responsibilities:          

  • Lead business improvement activities on key engineering business processes
  • Document and visually map the current and future state to identify, communicate, validate and gain consensus on process improvements
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional requirements
  • Act as a liaison between technical, business, and project stakeholders
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
  • Managing the Continuous Improvement Pipeline
  • Lead creation of process standards and deploy training to team members
  • Work with stakeholders to build priority alignment and drive engagement
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control projects through project life cycle
  • Verify that completed projects meet technical and design requirements
  • Build support to influence decisions in-order to ensure aligned work towards common objectives.
     

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in formal process improvement initiatives
  • 5+ years' experience implementing continuous process improvement lean processes

 

Desired Technical Skill / Experience:

  • Strong skills in Process Mapping
  • Strong collaboration and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Planner)
  • Proficient managing projects in Sharepoint and creating dashboards in Power BI
  • Experience in an international environment and ability to interact successfully with different cultures
  • Experience with Business processes, New Product development and engineering change processes
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Proficient working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean and applying them to administrative processes.
  • Ability to develop, direct, motivate and gain the commitment of cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor others.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence senior leadership, management, and individuals in various parts of the organization to work toward successful outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize and facilitate decision making
