Position Overview:
The Director, Global Continuous Improvement (CI) has leadership responsibility for global continuous improvement as part of the Genie Operating System to drive long term market share and operating profit growth. This includes but is not limited to leading business process improvement activities, improving Genie’s CI framework, establishing a management system, managing the CI pipeline, facilitating CI prioritization, and building a CI certification program. Daily activities include working closely with the Genie executive leadership team on a variety of strategic initiatives & process improvements. The role reports into the Vice President, Global Strategy & Product Management.
Responsibilities:
- Support the achievement of Genie’s market share and operating profit objectives
- Develop and improve Genie’s Continious Improvement framework and management system based on the DMAIC philospohy
- Enhance Genie’s Continious Improvement planning and prioritization processes
- Assess and recommend continious improvement opprotunities supported by financial business cases
- Modernize continious improvmeent systems and tools based
- Establish a training and certification program to accelerate CI culture development
- Ongoing enhancement and achievement of Genie’s 5-year strategic plan
- Partner with manaufacturing operations to deploy best common tools and practices
- Execute team member engagement survey action plan for area of responsibility
- Support meeting Genie diversity, inclusion, and equity (DEI) goals & inititives

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or closely related fields
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma
- Minimum of 7 years experience in at least 2 cross functional positions, leadership ideal (commercial business and operations preferred)
Preferred
- Master’s Degree
- Experience with DMAIC methodology
- Manager-of-people experience
- Structured approach, data-driven and analytical
- Experience in an international environment & ability to interact successfully in different cultures
- Strong collaboration and strategic decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
Language:
- Excellent written and spoken English
Travel:
- Must be willing and able to travel (up to approximately 25%)
