Data Analyst, Material Operations Support



This role is responsible for reporting and managing the excess and obsolete program for AWP Parts & Service.  In addition, this role manages the daily reporting and as necessary assists and at times leads efforts to ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. Lastly, this role acts as the site lead for the SSI Purchasing program for Parts & Service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Prepare and present a monthly Excess and Obsolete inventory review for the AWP Operations and the Finance teams.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency or service level improvements.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Improve and optimize Materials related reporting for Buyers and Demand Planners.
  • Present bi-weekly in the Purchasing Strategic Sourcing Meeting on behalf of AWP Parts and Service.
  • Coordinate specific part sourcing changes with the Buying team.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics or other relevant fields.
  • Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Ability to recognize patterns and trends in large data sets and use numerical information to develop business strategies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior relevant internship experience
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and analytics software.
  • Ability to summarize and explain complex information to others.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
